Vulnerable groups – help provided to the disabled people

As 700,000 persons in Ecuador suffer some kind of disability – caused by accidents as well as neurological disorders, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. – supporting handicapped people by donating wheelchairs and artificial limbs is one of the most important initiatives of the New Humanity Crusade.

A wheelchair costs US $250 which makes it impossible for a handicapped person with limited resources to acquire one. The lack of a wheelchair means that the majority of poor people in Ecuador suffering from some kind of disability cannot work and live life in dignity.

The Crusade for a New Humanity Foundation supports this vulnerable group of our society, helping handicapped people become useful individuals by giving them the chance to work and contribute to their families and society.
