Foundation

The Crusade for the New Humanity Foundation is inspired by the deep Christian principles of love and solidarity. The businessman/philanthropist Alvaro Noboa is committed to the poor of Ecuador, and created the foundation to provide social assistance in areas such as education, health, employment and sports, collaborating with those who have been forgotten by society.

Alvaro Noboa personally directs the foundation with the unconditional support of his wife, Doctor Anabella Azin. Supported also by a great team, Alvaro Noboa permanently allocates financial resources – that come from his personal fortune and companies – to fund social development programs for the poor.

The financial aid as a foundation started in 1976 with the creation of a health center in the suburb of Guayaquil. Subsequently, in 1981, Alvaro Noboa founded the Crusade for the New Humanity Crusade of Love, Union and Improvement. Since then, union groups have been created, which work for the people in need.

They have served since that date to help more than 13,000 people with financial aid. This assistance has been distributed in various areas:

30% medicines.

30% people with cancer, chemotherapy and radiotherapy

10% Rehabilitation and Prosthesis.

15% operations.

10% helping the disabled develop small businesses.

5%  people suffering from AIDS.

The medical teams patrol the country providing free medicine and health care to mothers, children, youth, adults, and the elderly, and other Ecuadorians with no access to healthcare.

In 2005, as reported by Dr. Anabella Azin, The Crusade for the New Humanity made over 270 visits to almost all the provinces of Ecuador, providing preventive care and giving free medicine to over 135,000 patients. Campaigns were carried out in schools of the coastal region, the highlands and the Amazon region. (NOTE: NEED TO USE DATA MORE RECENT THAN 2005.)

Dr. Azin has also been involved in the cure of infectious cases and diseases, malaria, skin diseases, hypertension, diabetes, anemia and parasites.
