Samantha Quinde, of 8 years old, was the first patient of Doctor Virginia Clavijo, who provided medical care to the little students of the school Nº16 “El Profeta”, located in the Trinitaria Island. She performed general exams and delivered free medicines to treat influenza, parasite infections, epidermal problems and other diseases attributed to poor nutrition and changes of season.
“They don’t know if they have diabetes or high blood pressure, because they have never been to a doctor in their whole life” said Clavijo with concern.

From 9:00, the Crusade for a New Humanity Foundation, founded by businessman Alvaro Noboa Ponton, started its mission of serving 120 children. The kids were weighted and measured by Doctor Clavijo before their respective check-ups

Happy boys and girls were properly cared and organized by the teacher of physical education, Tanny Chavez.
