Foundation of philanthropist Alvaro Noboa provides social assistance

Veronica Paredes was one of three beneficiaries this week from the Crusade for a New Humanity Foundation, created by philanthropist Alvaro Noboa. She received financial aid to fund the education of her three sons of 13, 9 and 8 years after the death of her husband. “The fact that your children can study and live as good people gives you peace as a mother,” she said.

She expressed gratitude for the assistance she received, saying “It’s great because it’s a relief to know that God uses these means to help us.”

In addition, Wilson Andrade obtained help for her mother, Lucinda Rosas, 82, who suffers from uterine prolapse and requires two surgeries.

“The assistance provided by the foundation is wonderful. Philanthropist Noboa is a great man who helps people in need.”

Another beneficiary was William Muñoz, who is dedicated to business activities in Malecon and Colon streets. “It’s the second time the Mr. Noboa has helped me. I previously had a pericardial effusion, and Dr. Anabella Azin paid my post surgery care. Thanks to them, I’m alive,” he said.

Muñoz is blind and notes that this has never been an impediment to fulfill his responsibilities as a father of two young men. “One always works and yet sometimes the situation is difficult, so when you get help it´s really appreciated,” he said.
